         Michael Nifon - Idiot of the year award nomination for 2007There are so many other awards this guy could get but Idiot Of The Year is the default category. I was thinking maybe racist for using a black woman to help him get reelected but no idiot will have to do.
Few stories got as much attention as this one in 2006 and the idiocy continues into 2007. I expect this one will keep going strong the rest of the year so let's welcome him to the fray here. You know him as the DA for Durham County, North Carolina. His use of the Duke rape case to get reelected is what brought him to national fame. Despite DNA evidence to the contrary, exculpatory evidence, and the lack of any credible story or witnesses he decided to bring charges against the Lacrosse team players.
