The 2009 Award in the category of "Your political career is now toast" goes out to former presidential candidate and Governer Mike Huckabee for commuting the sentence of quadruple cop killer Maurice Clemmons.

I'm sure Mike is torn up about letting Maurice become eligible for parole and sure there were literally dozens of other people almost as equally responsible for this gutter rat scumbag not being in jail but in the end Huckabee got the ball rolling.  Given his track record of something like a 1,000 pardons one can only wonder at his state of mind and the reliability of his judgement.

Forget about running for president now.  Your career is toast.
