Jody McDonald reveals on The Radio Racket Show that SportsTalk 950-AM is going live and local with a morning show hopefully in place around the end of July.


WPEN afternoon drive host Jody McDonald, speaking on tonight's edition of The Radio Racket, says the Greater Media-owned sports talk station plans to launch a live and local morning drive show to compete with WIP's Angelo Cataldi. McDonald says the station hopes to have the show in place sometime in July, but will most likely have it on the air before the start of football season.

No names of possible show hosts were mentioned.

The station's newly-hired program director, Gregg Henson, starts July 10th.

Sports indutry sources are saying that new Sports Talk 950 program director Gregg Henson ( might host the long-awaited local morning show that is scheduled to being sometime this summer.

Former NFL quarterback Glenn Foley, a graduate of Cherry Hill East High School, is another same being thrown around for the morning show.
